New research from The League, the dating app for singles with busy lifestyles who refuse to settle for less, has today revealed that almost a third (31%) of professional singles are struggling to find time to date.
70% say that too many matches can often feel overwhelming and so it’s no surprise that 85% of women would rather be presented with more information about a person before making a dating decision.
Ambition and drive are at the forefront of many single professionals’ lives. Professional singles are not only looking for a partner who is as ambitious as they are (67%), but also for someone who is understanding and accepting of their fast-paced lifestyle (82%). In fact, 42% have acknowledged that their relationships have stopped/come to an end/ in the past due to their partner’s poor understanding of their work commitments, and lack of flexibility on timings for dates (46%). 37% even revealed that one key reason they now avoid dating apps altogether is due to the fear of people wasting their valuable time outside of work hours.
And when it comes to their work life, 72% reveal they are looking for a partner who can relate to their working patterns, whilst 76% said it’s important to be able to talk through work issues with their partner. It’s apparent that many goal-driven singles have high expectations to find a partner to fit their requirements, with over half (54%) believing that they have higher standards than most of their friends.
The League has been created with time-poor and life goal-oriented singles in mind. The platform connects people who mutually match in their standards, level of ambition and passion for achieving their life goals. By enabling members to upload from their LinkedIn profiles, the app’s algorithm offers unparalleled privacy and abilities to match potential partners.
Amanda Bradford, Founder and CEO of The League says: “Professional singles often take a similar approach to dating as they do to their jobs, i.e. working hard and striving for efficiency. There was no app catering to professionally ambitious and busy singles who desired a relationship with an equally driven partner, so I decided I would put my Carnegie Mellon engineering degree to use and build just that.”
“The League is a platform bringing efficiency to the process of finding a partner, through curation. Attention to detail in the product, along with the unique algorithm ensures the app offers an elevated dating experience to its users – which we feel will restore professional singles faith in dating.”
