A Scottish single has enlisted the help of her local coffee shop to help find herself a date before Christmas.
Glaswegian Lynne Adams is a coffee fanatic whose ideal first date is a quick latte, so the 37-year-old has decided to begin a search for a fella who shares her taste for a quality cuppa. Working with dating expert match.com, Lynne’s online dating profile has been immortalised on 1,000 coffee cups and her face re-created as a stencil for the top of frothy cappuccinos.
Working with her local coffee shop, Cup in Glasgow, the 12oz cups in store now contain Lynne’s profile information, including her name, age and interests, as well as a picture. Barista , Fiona Wright, will hand out the cups to any eligible single males looking for a date, and have been trained to ask specific questions to assess whether males should receive one. Coffee-lovers who like the look of Lynne can click straight through to her match.com profile by using the custom URL printed on the cup.
Paul Reynolds, owner of Cup, jumped at the chance to help local lass Lynne, stating: “We often see people in here on first dates and we are thrilled that we can hopefully find Lynne that special someone. The run-up to Christmas is always a magical time and we’re hoping that we’ll see some sparks fly from this activity”.
Those interested in meeting Lynne can visit her dedicated page on the match website www.match.com/datelynne . The page is open to anyone, even those without a subscription.
Lynne’s profile reads, “Fitness fanatic Lynne is looking for a Scotch beefcake who can keep pace with her at the gym, and shares her love of exotic foreign travel. She’s a style-conscious sort, and is also partial to a posh coffee or two at her local deli. So if you’re full of beans and don’t see the gym as too much of a grind, you and Lynne could be one another’s perfect cuppa.
In the run-up to the festive season, other match members have also had their profile boosted in various ways, with two London males being immortalised as mannequins in a shop window.
Lynne Adams comments: “Having my profile boosted by match has been great fun. I hope that I meet a few nice people and go on a couple of dates after this! But whatever happens I am sure I’ll have a few stories to tell! ”
